Ms. Dora Zanet Is a 26-year Marlboro resident. Her 3 sons have attended and graduated Marlboro schools, and now 4 of her 7 grandchildren will be attending the same.
Ms. Zanet earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 1982. She has worked primarily with young children her entire career.
Most recently she has worked at the Busy Bear Nursery school from 2001-2012 with 3- and 4-year-olds.
Ms. Zanet developed a Mommy and Me program there for children 18 months to 3 years of age.
In addition, Ms. Zanet volunteered at Saint Gabriel’s as a religious education teacher for 14 years.
Ms. Zanet also volunteered to develop and run a catholic mommy and me program for children 18 months to 4 years old at Saint Gabriel’s which lasted 6 years prior to a pandemic shut us down.
Ms. Zanet is currently active as a children’s Liturgy instructor.
During Ms. Zanet’s son’s attendance in Marlboro elementary school she volunteered in the school store and worked with students to explore art.
Ms. Zanet would like the opportunity to continue to serve our community and to fight diligently for children safety and parent’s right to know.
Ms. Zanet believes that Keeping separate files for children who disclose a different identity to teachers and withholding such information from parents, serves to break a parent child trust and burden teachers with unnecessary conflicts.
With your support Ms. Zanet will stand firm in opposing policy 5756 and continue to advocate for parent/child disclosure/transparency to unite and strengthen family values.
Our local Board of Education, considering all of the negative political influence being placed on and in our schools, needs more people like Ms. Dora Zanet and her running mates, Mr. Craig Marshall and Ms. Cheryl Scuorzo. Together, they vow to support the continued efforts of our Board to keep our children safe from those who seek to enforce policies that drive a wedge between them and their parents and caregivers while implementing policies that will support all that is needed to employ the basic fundamentals of education that is based upon excelling core academics.
Mr. Marshall is a 26-year Marlboro resident. Along with his wife, Meryl, they raised 3 successful sons as a blended family. While each has embarked on their own path, they are a very close-knit family and take an active interest in each other’s lives. One son is an executive recruiter for a worldwide creative marketing agency who lives locally with his wife and baby daughter, another is an attending emergency physician living in Los Angeles with his lovely wife and the youngest is a graduate student at Columbia University in New York.
Along with his wife, Mr. Marshall are co-founders and operate Hynt Beauty, an organic-based vegan cosmetic company that offers many color cosmetics and skin care products. Mr. Marshall directly developed a strategic plan to promote the brand while managing the daily operations and finances of the business.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Marshall was involved in the healthcare field for over 25 years as a licensed nursing home administrator, certified physician practice executive and worked as a consultant for two global accounting and consulting firms where he assisted with the patient access and revenue cycle functions for large hospitals and other health care entities.
Mr. Marshall attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Finance and earned the Summa Cum Laude Award of Excellence for his collegiate leadership abilities and accomplishments.
From 2016 – 2018, Mr. Marshall served on the Marlboro K-8 Board of Education and was on various committees including the chair of the audit committee. During this tenure, Mr. Marshall was part of the approval of the full day kindergarten program that has been enjoyed by many young students. Additionally, he vehemently fought, challenged and voted against increased budgets, overspending in technology and was a prominent voice against referendums that would have been an unnecessary financial burden to our taxpayers.
Mr. Marshall has also gone through his own personal transformation and decided to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle and frequently speaks with young adults about nutrition and weight training. He earned a certification as a Personal Trainer, but he has not and vows never to charge anyone for his advice and input. He feels it is his way of “paying it forward” as a thank you to those who helped him along the way.
Our local Board of Education, considering all of the negative political influence being placed on and in our schools, needs more people like Mr. Marshall and his running mates, Ms. Dora Zanet and Ms. Cheryl Scuorzo.
